The IHMS board comprises eminent persons who have excelled in the fields of health, insurance and management and have made significant contributions to the political, social and economic development of the Nigerian society and humanity at large. They include:

Prof. T.A.J. Ogunbiyi MA., BM.BCH., (Oxon) FRCS., FICS., FWACS. – Chairman

Professor Ogunbiyi is a graduate of the prestigious Oxford University. A fellow of the International College of Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons and the West African College of Surgeons Prof. Ogunbiyi has more than 30 years experience in the Healthcare Industry. He holds several corporate appointments including the chairmanship of ESL Securities, Equity and Trust Ltd and Simba Telecom Nigeria Ltd. He is also a director in ECOBANK, Senegal, Diamond Bank Nigeria Ltd, and Universe Reinsurance Company Ltd amongst others.

Professor Ogunbiyi, has at various times being appointed into National and International Corporate Governance Positions including the Chairmanship of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital Board, Membership of the Governing Council, Association of Bank Directors of Nigeria, First Vice President of the International College of Surgeons of Nigeria; Secretary, African Federation, International College of Surgeons; and Member of a World Health Organization Expert Panel.

Dr Remi Olowude M.Sc (Econs), ACII – Deputy Chairman

Dr. Olowude is the Chairman of the National Insurance Corporation of Uganda, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IGI. He has a very rich inter-disciplinary background. He had his formal education in Economics both at the University of Lagos and the University of Santa Clara, California, United States He is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London.

A self-motivated achiever, Dr. Olowude has deployed his multi disciplinary background, professionalism and vision to build a conglomerate with interests in various sectors of the Nigerian Economy.

He has delivered papers at various forums on wide ranging topics. He has a total or 28 years cognate experience in Insurance Management.

 Senator (Professor) Jubril Aminu , CON, FAS – Director

A distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Aminu’s career has spanned the academia, administration, medicine and politics. As a former federal minister of education and petroleum resources, he contributed immensely to the development of those sectors and the nation in general.

Engr. (Chief) Olawumi A. Gasper,  F.N.S.E, MNI – Director

A fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers with business interests in various sectors of the economy,the immediate past Rector of the Lagos State Polytechnic,he is currently the executive secretary of the Lagos state technical education vocational board (LASTEV)

Mr. Sina Elusakin, Bsc, MBA, AIIN, MEI
Mr. Elusakin holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and a Masters of Business Administration (Banking and Finance) degree. He is also an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and a member of the Energy Institute, London. Mr. Elusakin expertise in Oil and Gas underwriting skill is recognized both in Nigeria and Internationally.
